How To Backwash:

1. Turn off the power to the pump.
2. Turn MULTIPORT HANDLE to BACKWASH. Make sure the collapsible blue hose is fully extended and not coiled/kinked. Failure to do so can result in a split backwash hose.
3. Turn the power back on to your pump. The water will begin to drain from your pool and clean out your filter system. This process may take a few minutes. How long do you wait?
4. When the water in the SIGHT GLASS is clear
5. When the water disposing from the backwash hose is clear
6. When the water level of your pool is midway through the skimmer
7. Turn off the power to the pump.
8. Turn MULTIPORT HANDLE to RINSE.
9. Turn the power back on to your pump. This process resettles the sand in the tank and rinses out the plumbing line.
10. Turn off the power to the pump. 8. Return the MULTIPORT HANDLE to the FILTER and turn the power back on.
